Adventure is a solitary act. Adventurous behavior does not simply mean climbing a mountain or running through a wasteland. Adventure is about going where no path has been taken, not following paths made by others; in other words, creating your own path. You must prove your own ideas, resisting the claims of others that they are wrong or that such a thing is impossible. Only fools who believe in their own hypotheses can act with courage.
冒険は孤独な行為です。冒険的行為とは、山を登る、荒れ地を駆ける、そのようなことだけを指すのではありません。冒険とは、道なき道を往く、他人の作った道を通らない、つまり自分の道は自分で作るという行為です。他の人間が間違っていると主張することや、そんなことは不可能だという言葉に抵抗して、自らの考えを証明しなければなりません。自分の仮説を信じられる、愚か者だけが勇気をもって行動することが出来ます。
