The main characters of this work are rabbits. The two seemingly incompatible elements of rabbits and loneliness express the complex laws of the world. And the more lonely you are, the more bored you become.
Rabbits are known to be animals that cannot stand loneliness, but humans cannot live long in solitude either. The main reason I created this painting was to reflect the reality of humans in the rabbit’s form and to reflect on the way this world has operated since ancient times.
この作品はうさぎ達が主人公です。うさぎと孤独という一見相容れない二つの要素は、複雑なこの世の理を表現するものです。そして孤独になれば、退屈さは増していきます。
うさぎは孤独に耐えられない動物として有名ですが、人間も孤独な状態では長く生きられません。うさぎの姿に人間の現実を写し、この世界の古き時代からの営みに思いを馳せることがこの絵画を制作した一番の理由です。
