The title of this work is Sunflowers and the Tormented Heart. The theme is the incompatible elements of sunflowers, the title of a beautiful flower that blooms in summer, and suffering. In the center of the painting is a sunflower, a symbol of brightness in this world. Sunflowers are flowers that spread their blossoms towards the sun. With their petals brimming with the enormous energy of the sun, they appear vibrant and beautiful, but at times, sunflowers also feel sad. Their appearance is like seeing the image of a brave person who, even in the midst of pain, continues to smile and interact with others.
この作品の題名は向日葵と苦悩する心というものです。夏に咲く美しい花の題名詞である向日葵と、苦悩という相容れない要素がテーマです。画面の中央にこの世の明るさの象徴である向日葵が描かれています。向日葵は太陽に向かって花を拡げる花です。太陽という巨大なエネルギーを花びらいっぱいに受けて、元気一杯に美しい姿を見せてくれますが、その向日葵も時には悲しい思いをしています。その姿は、苦しい思いをしても、笑顔で人に接する健気な人間の姿をみるようです。
